The age of agents is going to be amazing for most programmers, but it'll be hard times for the cantankerous ones. Specialized knowledge and rare skills will no longer offer immunity for those who are a pain to work with. Best learn some basic people skills.
i think we'll look back at claude opus 5.5 as the moment anyone who's ever wanted to become a vlogger, make internet videos, or build a video marketing machine could do it without a team or editing skills millions of people who would've sat on the sidelines will now be making videos over the next 24 months
Fellow resetters, heads up that we're working on expanding the family of frontier models that power dots, including GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Terra and some others in the future. Terra brings speed and a nice personality upgrade, and will help us bring dots to more people.
Turns out alchemical dreams were real. We converted sand into superintelligence. Who cares about gold… We transmuted the most ordinary into the most extraordinary.
Own your intelligence. Anyone that opposes this has something to sell you (perhaps your own intelligence back to you.) Local models need to continue proliferating. The “absolute unit” massive models may be out of reach for now locally, so your best option is to, indeed, keep your options open. Own your harness, data, connections, runtime: your agents. Embrace open source.
Send this to your agent of choice right now: “Looking through everything I do, to the best of your knowledge, what are places where I’m a bottleneck that you or another AI agent could take over”
The Mac startup sound at the end of the Home Theater surround setup is awesome.
Highly recommended read. It's an absolute masterclass in building a modern harness and enabling more autonomous agent systems. This is the best write-up I have read on how I have been working with my agent teams powered by my custom harness. In simple terms, you want a design that lets the agent operate continually and stay productive across tasks. This requires a coordination-execution architecture. This is possible now, as LLM agents have gotten better at coordination and maintaining persistent context. Once you get the core architecture right, you can explore proactive components (event triggering, acting ahead, etc.) and interesting ways to communicate with agents seamlessly (e.g., an asynchronous ReAct Loop). On top of that, the design scales through state management and sandboxes. Target a design that separates state, compute, and environment. And build something that can persist and is always available across devices. Btw, you can do this with other existing harnesses to…
here's a visual explainer of DeepSeek's article about Super-Agent:
Turns out human slop was 1,000x worse than AI slop.
this is going to instantly avoid ai slops. url: benji.org/stageshow

Yann LeCun and Randall Balestriero just Proved the Platonic Representation Hypothesis, and found a better way to achieve it. The Platonic Representation Hypothesis suggests that AI models trained on different modalities, like images and text, eventually learn similar representations of the world. But this paper shows that how models are trained matters more than simply scaling them up. So they mathematically show that, under certain conditions, two JEPAs trained completely separately can learn essentially the same underlying representation of the world. One learns from different images of the same scene, while the other learns from different descriptions of that scene, without ever being trained on image-text pairs. Their approach achieves the same image-text alignment with 42x fewer training samples than next-token prediction. A 109M-parameter text JEPA even outperforms LLMs up to 72B parameters on cross-modal alignment benchmarks. alphaxiv.org/abs/2610.39302
This is why I said you want your VPS ports all closed Then only let it be accessible inside your Tailscale for SSH and via a Cloudflare Tunnel to receive web traffic Any Linux box can be taken over with just a single TCP port exposed to the internet now A stop gap is disabling MPTCP on your VPS now but even better is not having any public ports exposed!
Day 28/ tibo's game has landed i spent $5.99 on this domain, but i had a blast making it with grok bot and cursor! i hope you enjoy it and find all the easter eggs 🤍 if i did it right you should be able to play it inside of X too tibo.dog
What's left to do when AI can build everything? Many things actually!
Weekend hack: HackerTube. I was annoyed with YouTube's recommendations so I had Claude filter down 43M comments over 20 years of HN to 6,454 videos that keep being recommended. *Significantly* better viewing experience, ~2 hours with Opus 5.5: hackertube.org - Excellent recs without any logins (state is kept in local browser session) - Thumbnail is a representative frame from middle of the video instead of the super duper A/B test hyper-optimized user uploads - Underlying data from the comment analysis as one zip file, point your Claude at it and ask for your own version - HackerTube Longs ✊ A bit more on the process: I use Claude Code (desktop app for Mac), Opus 5.5 on Medium effort as my default. I only talk to Claude and have it do everything, the only "manual work" I helped with in tandem was in the browser (reminiscent of MenuGen): 1) I had to create some kind of API key from Google Cloud UI to query YouTube for video metadata, 2) I booted up a VPS box for serving and 3) I boug…
